Who We Are

Prasat Coffee was born from a simple but deeply personal idea: bring Cambodian culture into the world of specialty coffee. The word prasat means temple; and for our ancestors, the temple was where community was built and connections were formed. It was where people gathered, connected, and belonged. We're repurposing that word, and that spirit, for a new generation.

At the heart of Prasat is resilience. As a Cambodian-American, resilience isn't just a value; it's an inheritance. Growing up with little, working toward more, and eventually being able to travel the world, I got to see firsthand how communities are built. How people gather over coffee in Taipei from late morning into the night, crowd around tables in Mexico City, share meals across Patagonia, and watch their country grow in a blink of eye in Phnom Penh. Every culture has its version of the prasat - a place where people slow down and connect. We're building ours here in Dallas.

Community is what we're here to create. Not just a customer base, a transaction, or a vendor relationship - but a community. A place where (un)familiar faces become friends, unlikely connections are forged, and circles begin to overlap. Where locals and newcomers alike feel like they belong. Every event we host, every relationship we build, every conversation across the counter is an investment in something greater than coffee.

Care is how we do everything. Care for the farmers whose hands touch our beans before they ever reach us. Care for the baristas who craft each drink with intention. Care for you: the person on the other side of the cup. We believe that when care runs through every step of the process, you can taste it.

That's what we're building. Something greater, one cup at a time.
